- TEN selected artists will  be featured and given full liner credits including contact information.

 

- 'Protest Songs for A Better  World'  will be distributed for airplay to over 200 radio stations throughout North America, Europe, and Australia, including Internet stations; and review copies sent to major publications for review.

 

- Ten Winning artists will be supplied with ten cds. Also, a large quantity of CDs will be given directly to the Earth Day Foundation to sell for the purpose of fundraising. In addition, the CD will be made available for sale through 'Indiepool, and catalogued in the international CD database used by record stores globally.

What We are Looking For We are looking for songs on any topic with themes of 'change for improvement', and we will consider all topics including (but not limited to) war, violence, peace, hunger, abuse, violation of rights, injustice, minorities, poverty, prejudice, freedom,  homeless, children .... and more - this is the time to get your voice heard by the world.

Fine Print:
  • Ten Winning artists will be notified by email on or before August 1, 2005 You must respond within 10 days.

  • We will post the names of the ten winners on this web page.

  • Winning artists will be asked to sign a document to certify that they are author or own full rights to  the submitted material, name of publisher (if applicable), and that they agree to their material be used on the CD.

  • Artists are responsible to have their songs registered with an organization to collect and pay royalties for tracked airplay. (example, artists in Canada should register their songs at SOCAN)

  • A Better World will not be involved in any capacity regarding royalty payments.  (Royalties are payable directly to the author )

  • All and total proceeds from the sale of CD's will be paid to Earth Day.
